Statement

The idea of the “nest” is a recurring structure in this work—at once shelter and swarm. A nest is created through instinct, constructed from the materials of its immediate environment. It is a reflection of place, an amalgam of what’s found, and a biological impulse made physical. Nests carry dual meanings: safety and vulnerability, creation and infestation, home and hive. These forms inhabit a liminal zone, where structures interlock, influence, and echo each other, growing together into something communal, uncanny, and alive. They evoke a secret language of biological desire—unspoken, inherited, and constantly evolving.
